Hello and Welcome to MJDAYDREAM!

Most People Have a Routine. What’s Yours?

In a world where we are constantly bombarded by noise—be it the hum of traffic, the ping of notifications, or the endless chatter of social media—it’s easy to forget the importance of taking a step back. With so much happening around us, it can be difficult to carve out time for ourselves and find a moment of peace. But I’ve found that creating a routine for mental breaks is essential to maintain balance.

For me, one of the most grounding rituals I’ve developed is a regular escape into nature. I turn off my phone, lace up my running shoes, and head for the mountains. There's something incredibly freeing about leaving behind the constant barrage of distractions. For two hours, I go on a hike—without earbuds, without music—just me and the world around me.

It’s not just about getting the physical exercise, although that’s a bonus. It’s about slowing down and taking the time to really be present in the moment. When I’m on the trail, I let go of the rush and allow myself to simply observe. The rustle of the leaves, the chirping of crickets, the soft swaying of the trees—these small, often overlooked sounds are what I focus on. I breathe deeply, inhaling the fresh air that the trees provide, feeling each breath fill me with calm.

There’s something therapeutic about the simplicity of it all. No demands. No expectations. Just nature, time, and space to clear my head. The beauty of the mountains, the crispness of the air, and the solitude offer a much-needed respite from the noise and chaos of daily life.
